Motivation is sometimes one of the most complex notions to possess on a day to day basis. For some people, it is just the basic levels of Motivation needed to get out of bed in the morning so they can start their day. For others it's the Motivation needed to go to the gym to workout and stay active on a daily basis. While for a small majority of the population, it is the commitment to battling one of life's obstacles and having to sacrifice everything to hopefully one day getting themselves out of the crazy life changing situation that they were told, they would have to live in for the rest of their life.
This SPA Blog post is going to discuss, based off my life experiences battling a breathing restriction, how to continue to stay motivated when times get rough. Staying Motivated is difficult for some people who have high ambitions and are chasing a high level of success. While some people can't even Stay Motivated to achieve small goals such as eating out only once a week or going to the gym 5 days a week. This in fact requires Self-Discipline, which is a quality you must possess to build a continuous routine, however, Motivation is the initiation that starts the Journey.
Everyone is poised to experience some level of difficulty in their pursuit for achieving their goals and desired life outcomes at some point. No matter how big or how small your obstacle life may throw at you, this life obstacle is meant to come your way and if it was not supposed to come your way, it never would have happened but since it did come your way, that's because it was supposed too.
For those who may experience a very heavy obstacle that changes their life entirely, it is hard to stay Motivated when this obstacle starts to become mentally draining, affecting your daily life or making you just want to give up on everything you have worked your entire life for just because of the obstacle life just sent your way.
In a sense, I am repeating myself but this is an important step to Staying Motivated. If something is supposed to happen, then it will happen and if it is not supposed to happen, it will not happen and you need to be able to accept that as the "Now." Accepting your current situation battling this life obstacle as the so called "Now", is the initiation to fighting through this tough time in your Journey. Accepting this current situation as the now will allow you to start focusing on your future and begin finding ways to get yourself out of the life obstacle you are currently facing.
When you are going through tough times battling these obstacles, it is to your advantage to find different strategies or activities that will help you stay motivated. The biggest advantage that helped me Stay Motivated though my battle with Scoliosis was engaging in reading motivational quotes and listening to motivational speakers. Expanding my overall knowledge on life and listening to encouraging words, through motivational speakers, was everything I was trying to indulge my mind in all the time.
SIDE NOTE: It is important to understand that you are NEVER battling your obstacle life throws at you alone. There is no need to fight through this tough time period alone. This will just cause unnecessary stress on the body that will only delay you from getting through this tough time. In today's world, there are an unlimited amount of resources via the Internet, social media or even close family and friends in your immediate circle. Sometimes that is not always the case to have someone to fight through your tough time with and always be by your side. Therefore the Internet and social media have provided us with a great deal of resources to choose which avenue is the best fit to engage our time towards.
Finally, accepting your current situation is the initiation, however, committing to never giving up is the only way to reach the finish line. As previously mentioned, everyone's tough time they go through in life is different and just because someone's tough time was more difficult then someone else's tough time does not mean anything. If you don't believe me, go an reread paragraph 5 repeatedly until you understand if it's supposed to be, it will be and if it is not supposed to be, it will not be, but that is just the "Now."
To get through any of life's obstacles, you have to start telling yourself that the "Now" will not be the "Later" and you will slowly start feeling relieved from the traumatizing state you are living in and feel like everything you are going through is just a light speed bump along the way through your own Journey of Life.
